Hear the Child Non-Evaluative Reports 

Kerry Lee is a trained, qualified professional to write objective, non-evaluative Hear the Child reports for decision makers in family law cases. Kerry accepts requests from families directly or through their lawyers. Hear the Child reports can also be ordered under s. 202(b) of the Family Law Act, or under s. 224(1)(b), as a specified service. 

Kerry is a member and on the roster with BC Hear the Child Society.

 Hear the Child Process 

  • All legal guardians/parents are required to provide consent to service

  • Read and sign the information packet including instructions, pricing structure, and contract agreement

  • Each child will receive 2 interviews each. 

  • HTC reports can be written for children aged 6 years + 

  • HTC Report will be written after the 2nd interview is complete 

  • Parents are not to coach, persuade, or punish children for their opinions. 

  • Parents are not permitted to be in the interview room

In person interviews are preferable, however, Kerry may make exceptions for online interviews. Bookings can be made once consents and contracts are signed by all legal guardians. Both the 1st and 2nd interviews need to be booked within 1-2 weeks. Kerry will provide a booking link when ready.
